The 5 and Take 5 featuring a Quiznos is now open!! We are so excited to have two fabulous residential dining locations to serve you. Thanks to West Campus residents for their patience and understanding during construction!
The Tiger Lair will be closing on Saturday, December 12, 2009 for construction in the LSU Student Union. Temporary limited service will be available in early February with pizza, sandwiches, salads and other grab 'n go items.
With the eagerly awaited opening of The 5 for the Spring semester, weekend service will be shifted to locations on each side of campus to compensate for the Tiger Lair closure. Outtakes with Taco Bell and Papa John's will be open at The 459 Commons in the southeast area of residential housing behind Acadian Hall. The new Take 5 with Quiznos will also be open at The 5 on the northwest side of campus near the Pentagon area. This is a brand new location complete with outdoor seating!
Outtakes and Take 5 will be open 7 days a week with late-night service Monday thru Thursday, too!
Beginning at 4:30 on Friday and continuing all day Saturday and Sunday, students can swap a Meal Plan Meal for a Meal Transfer which includes any Taco Bell, Papa John's or Quiznos combo or any salad, sandwich or wrap combo available similar to the Tiger Lair weekend service. For the spring semester, Meal Transfers are actually available every day during operating hours at Outtakes and Take 5! Paw Points may also be used like "dining dollars" for snacks, beverages or convenience store items.
Meal Plans are for everyone! Be sure to sign up for a Spring Meal Plan so you can enjoy dining at its best!! We're giving you more value for your Meal Plan by again offering additional Paw Points just for signing up! Paw Points may be used like "dining dollars" at any LSU Dining location on campus to give students some flexibility and variety.
While we understand the inconvenience of dining locations being closed, we would like to highlight several options that will be available in the spring. More details can be found in the "News" section of the home page.

- Tiger Ultra - extra $50 in Paw Points
- Tiger Plus - extra $25 in Paw Points
- Tiger Lite - extra $20 in Paw Points
- Tiger Commuter - extra $15 in Paw Points
Select or change a Meal Plan on your PAWS account or contact the Tiger Card Office at 578-4300. Additional Paw Points will be added after the 14th day of class.
